Available as an all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive, its sleek and streamlined body makes the Hyundai IONIQ 6 unmistakably unique in a bid to redefine our in-car driving experience.

Built on Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the IONIQ 6 wowed audiences back in July 2021 when it was first unveiled to the world. Demand for the Hyundai IONIQ 6 has been so high that an initial run of top-end First Edition models have already sold out.

Hyundai IONIQ 6 electric range

Fans of electric power can relish in Hyundai’s cutting-edge EV technology which delivers an all-electric range for the IONIQ 6 of up to 338-miles on a single charge (when opting for the long-range battery model). The possible range per charge is based on a WLTP reading (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) which includes as many real-world driving conditions as possible for a more accurate result - though this can vary due to driving style.

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 all-wheel drive version is powered by two electric motors that are integrated with the front and rear axles to provide 239kW of power, which results in an acceleration of 0-62mph in just 5.1 seconds. By comparison, the rear-wheel drive single motor equivalent delivers 168kW of power.

Hyundai IONIQ 6 exterior

Unique and unmistakable from first look, clean and simple lines ensure the IONIQ 6 is characteristically aerodynamic; a sloping roof provides the perfect formula for a sporty appearance paired with streamlined style for a first-class driving experience.

But the style-defining exterior features of the Hyundai IONIQ 6 don’t stop there… Discover the distinctive low-profile tail at the rear of the car which is designed to reinforce the downforce and reduce drag to maximise its electric range. Signature LED lighting is highlighted in the glass-like wing-inspired rear spoiler which will turn heads on every journey.

Customers can expect exterior colour choices aplenty thanks to Hyundai’s bespoke palette for a look as unique as you are. The IONIQ 6 is available in any one of the following pearlescent, metallic or matte-based colours:

  • Abyss Black Pearl
  • Biophilic Blue Pearl
  • Byte Blue Pearl
  • Digital Green Pearl
  • Serenity White Pearl
  • Transmission Blue Pearl
  • Curated Silver Metallic
  • Nocturne Grey Metallic
  • Ultimate Red Metallic
  • Gravity Gold Matte
  • Nocturne Grey Matte

Hyundai IONIQ 6 interior

The inside of the Hyundai IONIQ 6 is every bit as good as the outside, starting with the cocoon-like interior that has been designed to allow for a personalised and flexible driver and passenger space which has been maximised to the fullest.

Whether your journey is short or long, create your own comfort thanks to 8-way adjustable front seats. And when you stop to charge on-the-go, the driver's seat can lean all the way back so you can enjoy a well-deserved break behind the wheel when stationary and safe to do so.

But that’s not all… Conscious of its carbon footprint, Hyundai has used nothing but environmentally friendly materials for the interior of the IONIQ 6 cabin - such as recycled yarn from plastic bottles and ocean waste. To make the interior even more bespoke, customers can choose from either a black or light grey colour palette to perfectly complement their exterior paint choice.

Hyundai IONIQ 6 features

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 goes a long way to prove that the future of electric mobility really is here. Boasting a five-star Euro NCAP safety status, the EV excelled in the ‘Adult Occupant’, ‘Child Occupant’ and ‘Safety Assist’ categories and is equipped with the next level of Hyundai Smart Sense Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for the safety of you, your passengers, and all other road users.

As such, you can expect a wealth of fantastic features which really do take the electric saloon to another level - here are just a handful of characteristics you’ll enjoy…

Intelligent front-lighting system

We all hate being blinded by other vehicle’s lights when driving in the dark, but with the Hyundai IONIQ 6, you won’t be a distraction to other drivers. Instead, it has what’s called an ‘intelligent front-lighting system’ that means the matrix headlamps will automatically adjust the light they project depending on road conditions and other vehicles passing by.

Dual colour ambient lighting

How about changing the interior lights to suit your mood? Done! Get the full in-car experience thanks to a choice of 64 different colours paired with six dual colour themes so no two days are the same.

Interactive LED steering wheel

Have everything to hand thanks to a collection of interactive LED pixel lights displayed on the steering wheel. These indicate many important features of the car, such as electric charging status and drive mode among other things.

Digital side mirrors

Traditional door mirrors are so last year - welcome to 2023! Hyundai have revolutionised its side mirrors on the IONIQ 6 by upgrading them to a digital version that includes a camera teamed with an interior monitor to improve your overall visibility.

Hyundai IONIQ 6 performance

This sophisticated saloon really is set to become a game changer where electric motoring is concerned. Leading the charge for a whole new era of EV, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 is built using the unique E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) which enables faster charging, an increased driving range, even more interior space as well as overall better handling.

But that’s not all, as the IONIQ 6 is available with a long-range battery pack which provides an electric range of up to 338-miles so you can go even further on a single charge. All-wheel drive (AWD) and rear-wheel drive (RWD) options mean the IONIQ 6 can achieve up to 239kW of power resulting in 0-62mph in just over 5 seconds.

Hyundai IONIQ 6 charging

When you invest in an EV, you’ll want your charging options to be as flexible as you are, which is where the Hyundai IONIQ 6 really comes into its own. You can charge the car at home overnight as you would your mobile phone, or top up your range at a fast charging station en route to your destination in just a matter of minutes.

An innovative 800V battery system ensures the IONIQ 6 is one of the fastest charging models available on the market today. It has also been designed to be compatible for 400V charging too, as well as AC charging. Here’s just some of the clever charging features that will leave you wondering why you didn’t opt for an EV sooner:

  • Can be charged using a home wallbox or public AC charging station

  • The myHyundai app and RFID card means you can pay for all different types of electric charging providers through your phone
