Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm, Saturdays on a rota basis 8.30am - 12.30pm

To ensure the work is completed on time thereby contributing to the achievement of departmental sales targets

To complete work using the ‘right first time’ approach, minimising rectification thereby protecting departmental profitability

To ensure that each opportunity is taken to continuously improve the working methods and standards

Customer Care

Collects pre-ordered parts and prepares as necessary

Prepares customers vehicles or parts for painting by sanding the area to be repaired using a dual actioned sander

Primes and masks the repair area

Paints the customers vehicle or parts by applying the appropriate colour using a spray gun

Bakes the vehicle in the oven

Prepares the vehicle to return to the customer or the part to be fitted to the vehicle by demasking the repair area and polishing the vehicle using automated and manual equipment

Takes responsibility for keeping the work area clean and tidy

Administration

Signs for deliveries of paint and materials when required, carefully checking the delivery note against the goods received

General

Understands and complies with all appropriate legislation, including COSHH.

Complies with all Health and Safety legislation to ensure safety and well being of self, colleagues, customers and visitors

Ensures the maintenance of all equipment and other materials

Maintains personal awareness of the company’s quality procedures described in the company’s Quality Management System

Completes any other appropriate body shop activities as specified by the body shop Manager
