How long has Wilsons been in business?
We were established by Howard Wilson in 1904, initially as a driving school. By 1920 the business expanded after we started selling cars and we moved to a bigger site in Epsom. Our humble small premises has since grown to a multi-franchise dealership, currently representing eight manufacturers and stocking over 1,000 used cars. Do you really have 2,000 vehicles?
Yes! We pride ourselves on having the largest range of cars and vans in the Surrey area. Our stock is always changing and being updated thanks to fresh used cars arriving on site everyday and new model releases from our eight franchises. Why are your asking prices so low?
We have a unique business model which means our cars are always priced at their lowest when they come on to our forecourt. Our no-haggling policy is in place because our dedicated team ensures that our prices are continuously updated to be the most competitive, so you don't need to haggle to get the best deal. Simple, clear and transparent.
We have a wide range of cars on offer from brand new and nearly new to clearance stock. Our aim is to provide you with the best price or best deal possible so that you can drive away happy.
As a main dealer for eight manufacturers, we are able to offer a large range of brand new cars in one location. Our Sales Managers research their competitors and strive to provide you with the best possible offer. Our Finance Managers can also create flexible finance plans to suit your budget, whether you require a small deposit, low monthly payments or a long agreement term.
One of the perks of being a franchise dealer is securing delivery mileage stock. Also known as nearly new or pre-reg cars, they all arrive to us with less than 100 miles on the clock and one registered keeper on the log book (which is Wilsons). Because you will technically be the second owner of the car, they are available at a highly discounted rate, but are practically brand new. We pass this discount on to you so that you can have the latest cars for less.
As well as being a franchise dealer, we are also a used car supermarket. Our stock ranges from small city runarounds and family-friendly SUVs to luxury high-end electric cars. We have over 30 makes available for you to search through to find your perfect used car.
Our Clearance stock has been priced by our Used Car Sales Director. These cars have been reduced from their original price to make them even more affordable and competitive in the used car market.
We also have our Wilson's Used Car trade centre where a large quantity of our quality part exchange cars are sold. These are the cheapest cars that we have on offer. All of our used cars are looked after by our servicing staff to make sure that they leave the forecourt in high standard.
Where are you located?
You can find our new and used car showrooms at Kiln Lane, Epsom, Surrey KT17 1DH. Our central Epsom location is easy to get to by exiting the M25 at either Junction 8 or 9; or taking the short drive from the A3 or M23. We're just a 30 minute drive from Gatwick and Heathrow airports and Central London. Epsom train station is only a 15-minute walk or two-minute drive away with direct trains from Central London.
We also have our own service centres, parts department and rentals department located nearby at Weston Road, Epsom, Surrey, KT17 1JG.
The Wilson's Used Car Sales site, focusing on cheaper used cars, is a short walk down to the bottom of Kiln Lane (KT17 1EE).
Our Van Centre (Loads of Vans) is located in North Cheam at 730-736 London Road, North Cheam, South London, SM3 9BY. Note: All van servicing takes place at the main Weston Road, Epsom site.
What are your opening times / are you open on Bank holidays?
Car Sales: Monday to Friday: 9:am – 7pm; Saturday: 9am - 6pm; Sunday: 10am – 5pm
Aftersales: Monday to Friday: 8am - 6pm; Saturday: 8am - 12:30pm; Sunday: Closed
We are open ALL bank holidays except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Do you have a car park?
Yes we do. All of our showrooms have free onsite parking including Disabled spaces. We also provide EV charging points for our EV customers. Each showroom is within a short walk of each other, so you don't need to worry if you want to look around more than one showroom - you won't need to move your car.
How can I register feedback?

Alternatively, if you have been less than satisfied by any of your interactions with us, it is important that you make us aware so that we can address your issues internally.
What does the admin fee include?
All our vehicles are subject to an Admin Fee. Our Admin Fee covers any additional administration needed during your transaction, including a thorough provenance check (HPI Check). The vehicle provenance investigation checks if a car has finance owing, is stolen, cloned, written off or clocked, giving you real confidence in your car. Our vehicle checks carried out during preparation also include a cosmetic and mechanical assessment of each vehicle. The admin fee also includes the cost to fully valet, register and, if necessary, MOT your vehicle (if less than six months of current MOT status is left).
Our administration fee is a variable fee which covers the additional administration needed when transacting with different categories of customers as specified:
Retail Customers £199.00 - (Private buyers - NOT an owner, partner of director of a new/used vehicle sales company)
Retail Customers using a finance broker outside our official panel of lenders paying funds direct to Wilsons Epsom - £399.00
All of the above fees are inclusive of VAT.
Can I Part-Exchange?
You can part-exchange your old vehicle to go towards your new car. We can provide you with a quote online, however until we have seen the car, we cannot guarantee the price. If there are any discrepancies between your car and the details supplied to us, or if we discover something unknown to us, this may change the quote.
Servicing and MOT
My car isn't from one of your franchises, can you still service it?
This will almost always be a yes. Our workshop technicians are fully trained in motor vehicle repair and maintenance and use the latest diagnostic equipment.
Are your prices competitive?
Our prices cannot be beaten on like-for-like servicing. Your vehicle will be professionally inspected, serviced and maintained by manufacturer trained technicians using the latest diagnostic equipment. As a franchise dealer, our service centres have been approved by manufacturers to look after your vehicle, unlike your local independent garage. When you regularly service your vehicle with us, you will receive outstanding service from expert technicians at the best prices.
Do you service electric cars?
Yes, we currently sell and service a number of electric vehicles both within and outside our eight franchises including hybrid vehicles.
Buying a Vehicle
Can I drive away in my new vehicle the same day?
Yes, once payment is received it usually takes only a few hours to finalise the sale so you can be on your way the same day in your new car.
Can I get a warranty with my used car?
Absolutely. You’ll get a three month warranty when you buy any used car from us and you can also purchase our Platinum Warranty. This will protect you against potential failing parts and breakdowns which become more common with a used car.
Does the car have a current MOT?
Our cars do not leave the forecourt without a valid MOT.
Does the car have a Service history?
That will depend on previous owners. If the car does have a service history, it will be provided.
Why is my car advertised as having one previous owner when I am the third owner?
When we buy a car, we will register it to ourselves and therefore the car has one previous owner along with its current owner (Wilsons), making you the third owner of the vehicle.
Can used cars be financed?
Yes, we can provide a finance deal for all of our used cars.
Can I buy a used car without a deposit?
We require a £299 deposit to take a car off sale.

Can used cars be leased?
No, unfortunately all used cars must be purchased or financed.
How up to date is the data on your website?
We try to be as accurate as possible with our data, however we do have automated uploads which sometimes do not take into account all changes. We try our best to manually update these, but there are circumstances where these can be missed. If you have a question about a particular registration, feel free to contact us.
How many keys come with my used vehicle?
Used Cars are supplied with all available keys. We always try to obtain spare keys from the previous owner. We are not always able to obtain these, and in these cases the car will come with only one key.
Which car finance offers require no deposit?
You can take out car finance on any car without a deposit, it just means that your monthly payments will be higher.
Which new car offer has the best warranty?
Renault comes with a four year warranty as standard. The rest have a three year warranty across all their models.
Which new car offers come with insurance?
Peugeot’s Just Add Fuel scheme allows you to get a new car with three years insurance, servicing, road tax, warranty and breakdown cover.
Which used cars have the cheapest insurance?
There are a number of models that sit within the insurance group one bracket which are typically cheapest to insure. Some examples include the Peugeot 108, Fiat Panda, Nissan Micra and the Vauxhall Corsa (dependent on the age of the car purchased). However, there are a lot of factors involved which determine the cost you will pay for insurance, such as, driver’s age, driving record, the type of vehicle you want to ensure and even the driver’s geographical location. Carrying out some research of your own will enable you to determine the types of insurance costs you could expect to pay.
Which cars have a contract hire offer?
All cars are available with Contract Hire, but the payments may be more expensive than making a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP).
Which car manufacturer offers car leasing?
All our manufacturers offer car leasing options, however, the monthly payments may be more expensive than a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) agreement.
Do you arrange cars for export?
We regularly export to Ireland, saving our customers thousands compared to their local prices. Unfortunately we do not export to any other countries.
Will I be contacted after I have purchased my car?
Your opinion really matters to us and we like to hear our customers' feedback. We work in partnership with Judge Service to ensure that our customers get an opportunity to have their say. Once you’ve purchased your new vehicle, you’ll be sent a survey so we can find out about your experience.

Can you provide me with the history of previous owners?
Due to GDPR we are unable to provide personal information on previous owners. Should you require any history of the vehicle or information on where the vehicle came from, please ask your sales advisor.
How often do you update the stock on your website?
The stock on our website is continually updated to mark vehicles that have been reserved, remove any that have been sold, and add new stock. If you're interested in a specific car, we always advise to call ahead to confirm it's available and to book an appointment with a member of the team before making your journey to us.
