£35,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Gardener with experience in garden maintenance to a high horticultural standard and upkeep of a large private garden in Surrey. Attention to detail and taking a pride in ensuring that the gardens are beautifully presented and well kept.

Applicants for the gardener role will have experience and preferably hold horticultural qualification. Experience will include pruning, planting, growing as well as general garden maintenance including mowing, weeding, strimming and hedge cutting. In addition, the gardener will have good practical skills, be hands on, backed up with plant knowledge.

Key Duties:

• Responsible for garden maintenance as directed by the Owner
• Lawn care
• Pest control/weed killing
• Plant feeding and nurturing
• Hedge cutting
• Pruning trees and shrubs
• Planting
• Watering
• General garden maintenance including digging
• Maintenance of gardening equipment
• Greenhouse Management
• Helping others with their areas where needed

Key skills

• Ability to work independently and be self motivated
• A keen eye for detail
• Proactive and flexible approach to work
• The capability of using garden machinery including ride on mowers (training will be provided)
• 5yrs previous experience.
• Horticulture experience.

A full UK driver's licence is required.
