Exterior
Compact and graceful, yet bold and confident, the i20 is ready to take on any adventure you throw its way. Revamped to perfection, the iconic front grille makes a statement while the sporty side body moulding gives the i20 an agile, streamlined and aerodynamic look. Privacy glass is also a talking point as are the three attractive wheel options with the Premium SE Nav boasting striking 16-inch alloys. With a wide range of colour options too, the Hyundai i20 is a car that is full of character.
Safety
The Hyundai i20 is full of the latest safety features that will ensure that you and your passengers will be kept as safe as possible on any journey. The new i20 comes with Autonomous Emergency Braking as standard and the Front-mounted camera systems scan the road ahead for vehicles. AEB automatically initiates emergency braking to minimize the chances of a serious crash, or reduce its consequences. Forward Collision Assist is also equipped, and this senses the road ahead with radar and a camera, the FCA system in conjunction with AEB, automatically brakes when it detects a car, pedestrian and cyclist in the road or sudden braking by the car ahead. Lane Keeping Assist is another feature where the system contributes to active safety by avoiding unintentional lane departures caused by driver distractions. LKAS warns the driver acoustically and visually before inducing a corrective steering force. Lastly, the i20 also features Blind Spot Collision Warning which sensors mounted in the rear bumper on Ultimate models detect the proximity of any vehicle obscured in the blind spot and trigger a warning light in the relevant door mirror. An acoustic signal immediately sounds if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.
Performance and drive
The Hyundai new i20 may be a compact runner but it certainly delivers a big performance. There are many engine options to choose with the all-new 1.0 litre T-GDi petrol turbo featuring highly efficient combustion, and the 1.0 T-GDi 120PS which delivers effortless power. Manual transmission comes as standard. Select models offer the new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which provides the same driving thrill and fun of a manual, but with the convenience of an automatic.
