The MG5 EV Long Range is the second generation of multi-award-winning fully-electric estate car from MG. Offering up to 1367 litres of boot capacity, the new MG5 EV Long Range now comes with a 10.25" colour touchscreen, an iSmart user app for monitoring vehicle status and scheduling charging, as well as a 360-degree Parking Camera on the top-spec Trophy Long Range. Offering great levels of efficiency, practicality, and affordability, the MG5 EV is worth serious consideration.
The MG5 EV looks similar in shape to the previous generation model but now features a sharper and more modern look which ties in nicely with the rest of the MG range of cars. The front end has a completely new look to it with a design emphasis placed on energy efficiency. The swooping bonnet perfectly merges with the newly designed sleek LED headlights which helps to give the car an ultra-modern look.
Towards the bottom of the bumper, an active grille has been implemented to keep the battery at optimum working temperature and ensure maximum distance can be achieved with any journey. A newly designed rear bumper and tail light design complete the new look.
The interior in this second-generation model has also been changed and improved over the previous generation. Go for the top-spec Trophy trim and you can get an electrically adjusted driver's seat. The entire MG5 EV range comes with a 7" digital instrument cluster which is crisp and bright, providing all of the necessary driving information that you need such as the remaining level of charge and speed of travel to name a few. The MG5 EV also features a high-quality 10.3" touchscreen infotainment system which sits on the dashboard. The home screen icons are large to make it easy to touch and locate whilst on the move. The infotainment system allows access to DAB radio, Bluetooth, built-in sat-nav, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring with both trims. There's even a six-speaker surround-sound stereo.
The MG5 EV Long Range offers a boot volume of 578 litres to the roof, rising to 1367 litres with the rear seats folded down and loaded to the roof. Inside, there's plenty of room for five to travel in comfort with heated front seats and leather-style upholstery available with the Trophy Long Range.
