What is RAC Warranty?

When buying a used car, van or motorbike you can often be left without the same reassurance that comes with buying a new vehicle with a manufacturer's warranty.

The RAC Warranty offers the guarantee that should something go wrong with your vehicle, you can receive hassle-free repairs at no additional cost.

The RAC Dealer Network takes pride in ensuring all vehicles are sold in the best condition, however as a vehicle gets older, the risk of part failure increases. To give you extra peace of mind, we provide an RAC Warranty with every eligible vehicle.

Why RAC Warranty?

An RAC Warranty comes with the following additional benefits:

  • No excess to pay
  • Aggregate claim limit up to the original purchase price of the vehicle (individual claims limits apply)
  • Maintenance while the vehicle is being used in Europe for up to 60 days in any 12 month period

We’ll make it clear what is and isn’t included in your warranty and if a problem occurs, our streamlined claims procedure is geared towards getting your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible.

A summary of exclusions

Warranty does not include items claimable under the manufacturer’s warranty. Total aggregate claims value cannot exceed the purchase price of the vehicle. Other exclusions and limitations apply, which are provided in the full terms and conditions document (available upon request) and included on the schedule document.

Claims procedure

If you wish to claim against your RAC Warranty, please visit us. If you’re unable to return to the original dealership, you can book your repair at an RAC Approved Garage by visiting rac.co.uk/warrantyclaim, or at any VAT registered garage.

Please take your RAC Warranty documents given to you at time of purchase to the chosen repairer, they will check your details and advise you further.

All our vehicles are subject to an Admin Fee. Our Admin Fee covers any additional administration needed during your transaction, including a thorough provenance check (HPI Check). The admin fee also includes the cost to fully valet, register and, if necessary, MOT your vehicle (if less than 6 months left of current MOT).

Our administration fee is a variable fee which covers the additional administration needed when transacting with different categories of customers as specified.
