The Fiat Tipo is a handsome looking hatchback that offers great levels of style and practicality. Perfect for the daily commute and ideal for those weekends away with the family, the Fiat Tipo could be the versatile car for you.
Exterior
The Fiat Tipo received some design tweaks in 2021. The new headlight design makes the car look sharper. The new grille design makes the car look bolder. There is also the new Fiat logo proudly sitting on the grille, with the Tipo being the first car in the Fiat range to receive the new branding. Other than those slight cosmetic tweaks, the Fiat Tipo looks relatively the same as the pre-facelift model - which is no bad thing at all!
Safety & Technology
The facelifted Fiat Tipo is dripping in the latest safety technologies enabling you and your loved ones to be at total safety with every journey. The car has the latest Lane Control technology meaning that if you accidentally move out of your lane while driving over 37mph, the system will provide a visual indication on the instrument cluster accompanied by resistance of the steering, gently easing you back into your initial lane. The Tipo also very smartly recognises traffic signs and displays it on the crisp 7" TFT Digital Cluster. It is also possible to set a speed limiter where it is possible to limit the car's speed to the maximum allowed level ready by the Traffic Sign Recognition System.
Fiat's hatchback also comes standard with an active grille shutter which optimises aerodynamics by using vents within the grille to adjust airflow to the engine. This serves great purpose as it warms up the engine faster upon initial start up, reduces noise levels and protects the car's cooling unit. Lastly, the Tipo comes equipped with Rear Cross Path Detection. Part of the Blind Spot Assist function, the system monitors vehicles, pedestrians and objects in blind areas while the car is in reverse. If the car detects something approaching, it will provide both an audible chime and warning signal light on the Digital Cluster.
Engines
With the facelift, Fiat have ousted the old engine line-up and replaced them with a 1.0L 3-cylinder engine and a 1.5L Hybrid. The turbo charged 1.0L 3-cylinder engine produces 100bhp and provides plenty of poke for in city driving. It is economical too as the average fuel consumption is 50.4MPG. The engine which may be of interest to most, is the new Hybrid which offers a bold new way to drive. The new 1.5L engine is paired with a 48-volt electric motor and 12-volt starter generator all of which allows for the Tipo to be more efficient. The Tipo supplies all of the advantages of electrification, yet with no charging needed. This allows for reduced fuel consumption and less emissions entering the atmosphere. Enjoy faster acceleration with the 15kW e-motor and an effortless and smooth journey with the all-new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

- Tipo also comes with a system called Attention Assist which can detect the initial signs of fatigue and tiredness by monitoring lateral movements of the car, advising you to take a break. Fiat Tipo also features Autonomous Emergency Braking which is great for mitigating and avoiding potential collisions with preceding vehicles up to 124mph of speed.
