The Jeep e-Hybrid technology is based on the new petrol 1,5L Turbo engine, delivering 130 HP through the front-wheel drive, supported by a second, P2 48V electric motor able to boost performance up to 15 kW (20 HP) in various phases of the driving experience. Unlike other Mild Hybrid cars, the Jeep e-Hybrid system is actually able to guarantee a pure electric driving, with the electric engine taking care of the low speed manoeuvres.

Power and drive

The new e-Hybrid powertrain works seamlessly with the new double-clutch 7-speed gearbox, with P2 electric motor integrated in the transmission housing. Shorter gear shifting times and a comfortable driving experience are its hallmarks, also thanks to the 7th gear guaranteeing maximum efficiency during highway journeys. The new 1.5 litre Turbo E-Hybrid engine produces a potent 130bhp and a 0-62mph time in 9.7 seconds which is more than plenty for day to day driving around the town. 

Advanced technology

Jeep’s e-Hybrid powertrain introduces a new electrification* technology, improving the driving experience in every way compared to a traditional internal combustion engine. There is also innovative driving elements such as E-Creeping which is when the driver releases the brake pedal, the car will start to move but by only using the electric motor, meaning that there are no CO2 emissions being produced. The Renegade e-Hybrid also comes with an E-Launch system which is a piece of advanced technology which allows the car to start up and take off in complete silence through using only the electric motor. 

Moving across to the technology in the interior, the Renegade e-Hybrid comes with an updated 8.4" HD infotainment system. This Uconnect infotainment system has been updated to feature hybrid information and a purpose built interface that display the necessary and important hybrid information. In addition to this, the Uconnect system allows access to navigation, music and smartphone connection. 

The digital cluster display has been reimagined to keep the information you need most front and centre. Real-time information about battery and engine status – both petrol and electric – power and charging levels, and safety systems are readily available on the up to 7’ display.
