NEW ABARTH 500e 

Abarth's electrifying future is about to arrive with the all-new Abarth 500e. With modern and iconic styling perfectly combining, the Abarth 500e offers a bold design that well and truly stands out. As is the case with all Abarth models, performance is the main focus and this electric version stays true to its roots. Abarth claim that the 500e will be 1 second quicker than the combustion engine car, meaning that the 500e will provide an electric driving sensation which is full of character. 

Design

The all new Abarth 500e brings a characterful design which is a modern approach to the classic 500 design recipe. Aggressive and sporty styling can be found throughout the design of the new electric Abarth. Starting from the front, the car features a sports front bumper which gives the car a low and wide profile. making the car look eye-catching from any angle. The traditional Abarth logo has been moved to the bonnet with the front bumper section now featuring Abarth branding which is illuminated, allowing for everyone to see this is an Abarth even at night. The rear of the car is very similar to the Fiat 500e in terms of design, but the Abarth features a sporty bumper design to help give the car more of an aggressive look. The new Abarth 500e also comes with sporty exclusive 18" diamond cut alloy wheels, which really helps to give the car road presence. 

Overall, the design of the new Abarth 500e brings the classic design language which is universally loved but with a modern flare that truly brings this performance hatchback into the electric age. 

Interior 

The interior of the Abarth 500e is both ultra modern and sporting. The dashboard features embossed Alcantara, giving the interior a unique feel that combines a lush aesthetic with a functional design that perfectly matches the inserts of the sports steering wheel and performance seats. The sports steering wheel is a 3 spoke flat bottomed design which offers the perfect sporting credentials. High quality leather and Alcantara can be found on the steering wheel with the Scorpion logo in the centre to truly remind you that you are about to take an exciting driving adventure. The racing feel carries across to the pedals which are finished in a sporty metal design. These are perfect to unleash your inner racer as they help to provide a racing feel. The pedal design is perfectly completed with the Scorpion logo. 

The interior of the 500e also provides the latest technology which truly helps to give the Abarth 500e an ultra modern look and feel. A 7 inch fully digital cluster showcases essential driving information from speed to electric range. The crisp display and easy to read layout of the cluster means that the driver has all of the necessary information that they need, without being distracted from the road ahead. 

Performance 

Abarth is all about performance and complete driving fun and this electric version maintains that very same recipe. The 42kWh battery provides a maximum power of 114kW which equates to 155HP - putting it in the same power bracket as the internal combustion engine car in terms of power output. This give the little electric Abarth a top speed of 96mph which is limited. The Abarth 500e does however offer a brisk 0-62mph acceleration time in only 7 seconds, which is slightly quicker that the old petrol version. With the instant acceleration that an electric motor provides, there are no doubts that the electric Abarth will provide the same driving fun, but in a new modern and electric way. 

Technology

The car comes with a 10.25" infotainment touchscreen which features the latest UConnect system. This high-tech display features ultra clear graphics meaning that information is clearly visible to the driver without leading to a distraction. Adding to the fun theme of the Abarth, the infotainment system also contains performance pages so that you can keep track of your performance as you unleash the fun of the drive. The Abarth 500e also comes with many driver safety features as standard, allowing for you to always have the safest drive possible. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which includes: Autonomous Emergency Brake, Lane Keeping Assist, Drowsy Driver Detection, Traffic Sign Information, Urban Blind Spot, Cruise Control and E-call assist.
