Abarth and Yamaha have joined manufacturing forces for the first time to create a special edition car and bike respectively that share the same DNA and ethos.
The new Abarth 695 XSR was created to celebrate the Yamaha XSR900 Abarth - the exclusive motorcycle born from the collaboration between the two brands. These special edition vehicles make extensive use of carbon fibre from the front mudguard and saddle cover of the Yamaha bike to the Abarth car's tailpipes and steering wheel inserts.
The 695 XSR is a limited edition model with only 695 hatchbacks and 695 convertibles available. Each car is issued with an exclusive sequentially numbered badge to highlight the model's uniqueness.
With racing blood coursing through the veins of both brands, it's no surprise that the 695 XSR is capable of completing 0-62mph in just 7.3 seconds with a maximum speed of 135mph.
Exclusively available in Circuit Grey with a Pista Grey livery, the 695 XSR is brought to life by its red trim finishes on the side strips and bumper inserts matching the red brake calipers. These touches of colour are complimented by the 'Satin Chrome' door handles and badge surrounds.
The Matt Black SuperSport 17" alloy wheels are the perfect match for the 695 XSR with 205/40 tyres to ensure optimal road handling whether your tearing up the track or cruising around the countryside.
The XSR logo sits proudly on the tailgate to distinguish it from the 695 range and clearly demonstrates its combined heritage with Yamaha.
Becoming a proud owner of a 695 XSR instantly makes you part of an exclusive club with only 1,389 other people. Your XSR will have its own unique number inscribed into a badge located between the front seatbelt holsters - a certificate of a true enthusiast.
Elsewhere in the cabin, the 695 XSR receives Abarth racing seats in leather that are exclusive to this model. They are embellished with red stitching to match the red trim details of the exterior. The seats can be customised further with the addition of carbon fibre backrest shells.
You can also add a carbon fibre dashboard fascia which houses the 7" Uconnect HD LIVE system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. This means that iPhone users can use Siri voice assistant features to make calls and compose messages hands free as well as have access to Apple Maps and Apple Music. Similarly, Android users have easy and safe access to Google Maps and Google Play Music using the touchscreen or the built-in steering wheel controls.
Under the bonnet, the 695 XSR houses a 165hp 1.4 T-Jet engine with Garret turbo that produces 230Nm tourque at 3000rpm. Aligned with the Yamaha XSR900, the 695 XSR shares the Akrapovič ultralight exhaust. Developed and crafted in the racing world, it adds an extra element of personality, sound and performance to both vehicles.
