Summer Health Check

Longer days and shorter nights can only mean one thing: summer is here! Although British weather is predictably unpredictable, you can always count on getting some sun, which means digging out the flip-flops, finding your sunglasses and dusting off the barbecue.

It also means that you need to make sure your vehicle is ready for summer and will be able to cope with the rise in temperatures. You don't want to be in a situation where you try to turn the air conditioning on, only to find out that it isn't working properly, or at all.

Booking your vehicle in for a summer health check means that your air conditioning will be checked and reported if it isn't working to its full capacity. We will also complete a thorough inspection of the brakes, tyres, lights, steering, suspension, fluids, battery and exhaust to ensure your vehicle is 100% ready for summer.

A summer health check is normally £19.99, but the first 100 customers to book their vehicle in will receive the check for free, giving you peace of mind while you're out and about enjoying the sun.

Cars need to meet minimum emission standards when travelling in the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) or the daily charge must be paid.

Minimum emission standards

Petrol: Euro 4
Diesel: Euro 6

The ULEZ will be enforced based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age. However:

Petrol cars that meet the ULEZ standards are generally those registered with the DVLA after 2005, although cars that meet the standards have been available since 2001
Diesel cars that meet the standards are generally those registered with the DVLA after September 2015
