The cambelt (also known as the timing belt) helps to keep the engine running smoothly. Unlike other car parts, you won't see any warning signs that your cambelt is starting to wear.

Your Dacia will have a predetermined cambelt replacement schedule that you should stick to. If your car is more than five years old, or if it's already done between 60,000 and 160,000 miles, then it is advisable to have the cambelt changed.

Our cambelt replacement service starts from just £355 and you will receive a genuine replacement part and a Dacia-trained technician carrying out the work. You may want to take advantage of this work and have your water pump checked at the same time.

Cars need to meet minimum emission standards when travelling in the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) or the daily charge must be paid.

Minimum emission standards

Petrol: Euro 4
Diesel: Euro 6

The ULEZ will be enforced based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age. However:

Petrol cars that meet the ULEZ standards are generally those registered with the DVLA after 2005, although cars that meet the standards have been available since 2001
Diesel cars that meet the standards are generally those registered with the DVLA after September 2015
