New Zafira Tourer

The New Zafira Tourer is Vauxhall's premium MPV family car that is set to challenge the Renault Grand Tourer, Citroën Grand C4 Picasso and Ford C-Max. While the New Zafira Tourer has some design changes and technology upgrades, there are some things that haven't changed like the innovative Flex7® seats, the easy drive on the motorway or around town and its ability to handle anything.

New Zafira Tourer Design

The Zafira Tourer has been given a front-end makeover with the new Vauxhall family face debuted by the award-winning Astra and consistent with the new Mokka X now in place. The 7 seater MPV receives Vauxhall's double wing daytime running lights, new headlamps, an updated grille and more muscular wheelarches.

The new model continuity brings familiar characteristics to all new Vauxhall cars so that buyers with any requirement or family size can find a Vauxhall for them.

The New Zafira Tourer also inherits elements of the Astra's dashboard with a high-tech integrated 7" screen replacing the old top-mounted system. The dashboard has been simplified by removing a number of buttons and making it easier to use on the move.

Zafira Tourer Interior Features

Inside, the Zafira Tourer retains its predecessor's practical solutions such as Flex-Fix bicycle carrier, FlexRide adaptive damping and Flex7® seating.

You can choose to have all seven seats or just the one; with its innovative design the Zafira Tourer lets you pick the set up that suits you thanks to the quick release and fold flat seats. Whether you are playing taxi for the kid's football team or taking a trip to the DIY store, Vauxhall's premium MPV can provide any combination for any situation in seconds.

The New Zafira Tourer also possesses Adaptive LED lighting that automatically adapts to the road to show you exactly where you're going whatever the conditions.

New Vauxhall Technology

The New Zafira Tourer receives an integrated 7" multimedia infotainment system integrated with the dashboard as standard. There are two different multimedia systems available, the R4.0 IntelliLink and the Navi 950 IntelliLink, both of which are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, the latter of which adds a factory-fit sat-nav.

The premium family car also comes fitted with Vauxhall's OnStar system that keeps you connected with a host of innovations at the touch of a button. Your car can now become a 4G WiFi hotspot enabling you to stay connected on the move. OnStar also provides outstanding safety features such as automatic crash response, stolen vehicle assistance and vehicle diagnostics.

New Zafira Safety Features

Although it does not currently have a Euro NCAP safety rating, the New Zafira should be helped on its way to gaining 5 stars with its new safety kit. The Zafira Tourer has a variety of front-facing cameras, radars and sensors that provide adaptive cruise control, forward collision alerts and lane departure warnings.

New Zafira Tourer Engine Choices and Practicality

At launch, the Zafira Tourer will only have two engines available - a 138bhp turbocharge 1.4 litre petrol engine and a 168bhp 2.0 litre diesel engine - both of which can be purchased with a manual or automatic gearbox. A 132bhp 1.6 litre diesel engine is planned to come to market and it will bring with it the highest fuel economy figure of all the engines.

As an MPV, the Zafira Tourer needs to be able to cope with anything and be prepared to carry loads of people or a large load. With the third row of seats folded flat, the boot has a 710 litre capacity that can be expanded to 1,860 litres when the second row of seats is also flat. This is larger than the Citroën Grand C4 Picasso with boot capacities of 537 and 1,851 litres respectively.

New Zafira Tourer Trim Levels

The New Zafira Tourer is available in 8 trim levels with the choice of four different engines with each trim level. The cheapest engine option is the 1.4i 140ps Turbo followed by the 1.4i 140ps Turbo Auto. The 2.0CDTi 170ps S/S diesel engine is the next expensive with the 2.0CDTi 170ps Auto coming in at the top of the range.

The base trim is Design which is equipped with 17" alloy wheels, air-conditioning, Bluetooth, DAB, USB connectivity, cruise control, trip computer and front/rear parking sensors among others. Energy trim is the next level up followed by SRi and SRi Nav. Moving further up the range is the SE, Tech Line and Elite before finally reaching the top of the range Elite Nav trim level which includes a panoramic windscreen, panoramic sunroof and perforated leather seats.
