What do you want from a city car? Something that is small and agile and simultaneously practical and versatile sounds perfect, doesn't it?
Introducing the Renault Twingo. A city car that can park in a tight space, comfortably seat passengers in the back and even carry some flat pack furniture. Life moves fast in the city and things can change quickly, so you need a truly excellent city car that can handle anything.
Renault's award-winning city car is packed with bags of personality and innovative technology that make it both practical and stylish. Behind the wheel of a Twingo you can go anywhere and go everywhere.
The new Renault Twingo is now more customisable than ever before so you can really make it your own and show off your true personality.
Since the last generation, the Twingo has lost 10cm in exterior length; however, at the same time, it has gained 33cm in interior length providing greater knee room for passengers travelling in the back.
The latest Renault Twingo has been designed to be a friendly face that brings back memories and puts a smile on your face. Iconic Renault features including sculpted sides, small round lights and rectangular headlights have been reinterpreted from the range's emotional and sporting heritage.
There are a total of ten body colours to choose from including Powder Blue, Inca Yellow, Ultraviolet and Cappuccino Brown. These are just the base for your customisation masterpiece! You can choose an exterior touch pack which personalises front grille strips, side door strips and door mirrors, all of which are available in white, red or blue.
You can also add a choice of three decals to your new Twingo which are available in Black Strokes, Retro and White Strokes. Finally, you can also customise your wheels. The new Renault Twingo comes in either 15" or 16" diamond cut alloy wheels in a choice of black or grey.
As standard, the Twingo is fitted with Java Grey upholstery which can be upgraded to Java Blue upholstery, Java Red upholstery or Sport upholstery. Interior style packs change the colour of the upholstery, door armrests and storage compartment lid.
Similar to exterior customisation, you can choose an interior touch pack which adds colour touches to the steering wheels inserts, centre console surround and air vent surrounds, all of which are available in black, red and blue.
The new Renault Twingo is compact yet spacious. The interior can carry loads of up to 2.3m, a first for a compact city car.
In addition to the impressive boot space, there are also little stowage spaces around the car for smaller items, such as optional rear door pockets, space under the rear seats and a storage space in front of the gear stick.
Using the R&Go smartphone app turns your phone into a touchscreen dashboard. The Twingo is fitted with a universal smartphone cradle which mounts your phone to the dashboard. When connected to the car via Bluetooth®, your phone's screen presents the features in an intuitive menu with large buttons. Key features of the app are navigation, SMS messages read out*, playing music from the phone or radio and vehicle information including fuel consumption and trip computer.
The Twingo is also available with R-Link technology integrated into the 7" touchscreen multimedia system with navigation. You can control it from the screen, steering wheel controls or even voice command. R-Link includes a touchscreen navigation system, FM/AM/DAB tuner multimedia system and a reverse parking camera system. You can also download more apps from the R-Link Store.

Space, storage and maneuverability
The new Renault Twingo may look compact, but it can carry loads of up to 2.3m! This space is achieved thanks to putting the engine in the rear, a design feature that is typically associated with two-seater sports cars, not practical city superminis!
With the engine at the back it means that it is further away from the driver and therefore a quieter and more enjoyable ride. Even though the engine is underneath the boot, it is still easy to lift items in and out because there is no loading lip to the boot floor.
|Overall bodywork length||3.595m|
|Overall width exclu. door mirrors with side running strips||1.646m|
|Overall unladen height||1.554m|
|Maximum boot space with rear seats folded down||980 litres|
Thanks to a shorter bonnet and raised driving position, you will have excellent visibility behind the Twingo's wheel, making you feel more confident and able to enjoy the drive even more. The new Renault Twingo also has an impressive turning circle of just 8.59m which makes parallel parking in tight spaces much easier.
Sporty and fun, the all-new GT adds a different dimension, offering a city car with extra va va voom! Developed by Renault Sport, the Twingo GT is inspired by Renault's Twin'Run concept. The rear bumper diffuser has been redesigned to incorporate the twin exhaust pipe and the rear-engine has been optimised to deliver high levels of driver enjoyment.
Taking the Twingo's most powerful engine, the 898cc TCe, Renault Sport's engine designers tuned it to produce 110hp and 170Nm of torgue in the new GT model. All of the modifications to the engine mean that the Twingo GT can cover 0-62mph in just 9.6 seconds. It's not all about speed though as it comes with ABS, Hill Start Assist, speed limiter and cruise control as standard.
In terms of design, the GT has a new Blaze Orange metallic paint option, or drivers can choose between Crystal White, Lunar Grey or Diamond Black body colours. Whatever the colour you decide, all of them are available with optional contrasting NACA aircraft-inspired striped starting from the bonnet and extending the length of the roof.
The Iconic Special Edition has returned to the Twingo range with a brand new and unique Mint Green paint finish which is available alongside Diamond Black and Crystal White options.
Based on the Dynamique trim level, the Iconic Special Edition receives exclusive Iconic crosshatch-patterned part-leather upholstery, floor mats with a Mint Green Twingo motif and a Mint Green touch pack which applies colourful accents around the cabin.
Other than a new body colour, the new top-of-the-range Twingo gains a fabric folding sunroof in the same pattern as the interior, exclusive 16" alloy wheels, crosshatched Iconic side decals and electrically folding door mirrors.
In terms of technology, you can expect a reverse parking camera and sensors, R-LINK satellite navigation, automatic headlights and wipers, front fog lights and DAB radio as standard.
The new Renault Twingo comes with three difference engines, the SCe 70, the ENERGY TCe 90 Stop & Start and the TCe 90 Auto EDC.
SCe 70 - This engine is made for the city. With 70hp petrol engine and torque that's extremely responsive the drive is lively, flexible and most importantly, comfortable. The SCe 70 engine also has a Stop & Start variant for improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
ENERGY TCe 90 S&S - This turbo petrol engine is most at home for driving out of town. This engine has more power and torque than the SCe 70 engine enabling brisk starts and nippy acceleration. With Stop & Start as standard, your driving is both fun and economical.
TCe 90 Auto EDC - This engine combines the comfort of an automatic gearbox and the responsiveness of a manual transmission that is perfect for inner-city driving.

These figures are specific for a vehicle type and not for a single car. Real world fuel (actual) consumption can vary as the fuel efficiency of a vehicle is influenced by driving behaviour, weather and road conditions. The use of technical equipment for example air conditioning, can also effect the fuel consumption. For further information, please visit the Vehicle Certification Agency web site www.vca.gov.uk.
