This is a Nissan Leaf, but nothing like you've ever seen before. The market leading electric vehicle has received a raft of changes in terms of battery, technology and design to make it an even better choice for those wanting to switch to electric.
Now capable of reaching up to 235 miles*, you can go even further on a single charge in the new Leaf thanks to its 40kWh battery. Feel more confident behind the wheel knowing that it could take you only 40 minutes to achieve an 80% charge using a public rapid charging unit**.
While the main selling points of the new Leaf are certainly its battery and in-car technologies, don't forget that it is also a very functional hatchback with 435 litres of boot space and plenty of room for five passengers to travel comfortably.
Sleeker, sharper and sexier are just three words to describe the exterior design of the new Nissan Leaf.
The bold new look has a dynamic front end that features a unique multidimensional translucent blue grille housed in Nissan's trademark V-Motion grille with classic boomerang lights either side.
The rear end of the car has been smoothed out, ditching the previous design, but incorporating a signature floating roof.
With plenty of space to comfortably transport four adults, the new Leaf has a redesigned cabin to improve ride quality.
It now has a new 7" touchscreen that will feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so that you can link your phone up with the car seamlessly.
The new Leaf also has a customisable digital instrument cluster and a floating information screen.
Drive like never before when you experience the all-new Nissan e-Pedal. This revolutionary technology allows you to speed up, slow down and brake by just using the accelerator pedal in the hope of providing a smoother drive. You can easily switch from using two pedals to one by flipping a switch. Once using e-Pedal you just press down for instant acceleration and ease off to slow down. You can even hold the new Leaf on a hill without needing to touch the brake.
The New Leaf is packed full of intelligent technologies to make your driving safer and more enjoyable. Nissan ProPILOT can help keep your Leaf centred in the road, maintain a preset speed and distance to the vehicle in front.
The Intelligent Around View Monitor uses four cameras to provide a virtual 360° view of your Leaf and everything around it. Using Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Warning, the new Leaf can also detect movement around it to help prevent collisions with other cars and pedestrians.
As standard, the new Leaf will receive a new 40kWh lithium-ion battery that is capable of achieving an improved range of 235 miles on a single charge. Better still, it takes around the same amount of time for it to fully recharge, which is around eight hours with a normal 6kW charger or around 40 minutes to get to 80% with a 50kW public quick charge. With an innovative charging system, it's never been easier to get moving.
You could be one of the first people in the UK to own the Mk2 Nissan Leaf if you decide to order the exclusive limited edition LEAF 2.ZERO which is available in Spring Cloud or Pearl Black.
It comes with all of the new Nissan Intelligent Mobility features including e-Pedal and ProPILOT to protect the driver and support you on the road. As standard, it has a range of up to 235 miles and is set for delivery in early 2018.
* Up to 235 mile range based on internal testing. This is subject to confirmation following official VCA homologation and may not reflect real driving results. Actual range may vary due to driving style, road condition, air conditioning and other factors outside of our control.
** Charging time depends on conditions and is shown for a 40kW battery. Indicated semi-fast charging time requires use of a 32A / 6.6kW wall box.
