Passed your test and looking for your first car, but not sure where to look or what to look for?
Well here at Wilsons we want to ensure you’re happy and safe in your car. These tips will help you along your way, whether you buy a used or new car.
The first thing we recommend is making yourself a check list of things that are important to you. For example, do you need sat-navigation? Do you need an eco-friendly car? Do you need Bluetooth to make calls or listen to music? Would you benefit from parking sensors? Some of these questions you’ll be nodding in agreement and others not so much. But when you’re buying your first car you will need to account for all these needs you may have.
Step 1 – Set yourself a budget
Sounds simple, right? But in actual fact this can be a lot more challenging than you think. Not only do you need to take into account the price of the car, it is also beneficial to be aware of the insurance on the car, MOT, service, Tax and cost of running (petrol or diesel).
Step 2 – Head down to Wilsons where one of our sales advisers will be happy to help
Now you’ve worked out your budget the fun begins!
We recommend you taking a look around our website to work out what make, model, colour and spec that you would want. After you’ve found a car (or a couple) that you would like to view, you can either come down to our branch or call our contact centre on 01372 736 000 to arrange a viewing.
Step 3 – Take the car for a spin!
Once you are at Wilsons you will be greeted with one of our helpful sales advisers that will be able to show you around the car. They will also be able to take you on a test drive so you can get a feel for the car. The sales adviser will be your point of contact from sales through to aftercare.
