Wilsons Summer Boat Party
Disco Cruise down the River Thames
To celebrate the dedication and hard work demonstrated by all of the staff, Wilsons organised a boat trip bonanza starting from Turks Pier in Kingston. The event was an unqualified success that left some shouting for more after the boat docked and the last song had finished.
The disco boat set sail at 8 o'clock equipped with a fully stocked bar and DJ for the evening to ensure that everyone was able to let their hair down and socialise in a fun and friendly environment. We were all fed with a fish and chip supper that was delivered directly to the boat from Mr Chips.
Although it poured down with heavy showers for the first hour, the sun eventually shone through and everyone was able to walk freely around and through the boat taking in the iconic views of Hampton Court Palace and Teddington Lock.
As the evening progressed, the boat sailed past the cosmopolitan Kingston and Richmond riversides where the land-based observers watched Wilson staff throwing all kinds of shapes on the dancefloor to some classic disco favourites.
A thoroughly good time was had by all, but don't just take our word for it - see for yourself:
