COVID-19 Guidance Update (November 2021)

Important Customer Notice

Following the update from the government, new temporary, precautionary and targeted measures have been reintroduced to Wilsons to further prevent the spread of the new COVID-19 Omicron variant and will be reviewed in 3 weeks in line with government guidance. 

What is Wilsons doing to continue to keep our customers and team safe?

Since the 30th of November, face coverings are now mandatory and must be worn in ALL of our showrooms and service centres (unless medically exempt). Our processes around vehicle handovers, vehicle sanitisation, personal and vehicle protective equipment, well-ventilated spaces, signage and social distancing measures will remain the same. 

The reason for using face coverings:

Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person through:
• small droplets
• clouds of tiny airborne particles known as aerosols
• direct contact

Droplets can be picked up from the surfaces they land on if you touch that surface and then your face without washing your hands first. This is why regular hand hygiene and covering coughs and sneezes are so important in controlling the spread of the virus.

The best available scientific evidence is that when used correctly, wearing a face-covering may reduce the spread of coronavirus droplets, helping to protect everyone.

It is important to follow all the other government advice to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). If you have recent onset of any of the most important symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19):

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia)

As always, the safety of our customers and colleagues are at the heart of our operations and with this is in mind – all COVID safety measures, social distancing etc across #WilsonsEpsom continue to stay in place until further notice. The regulations will be kept under review to ensure they only remain necessary and proportionate. For more information regarding current Government guidance, please click here

Transport For London

Cars need to meet minimum emission standards when travelling in the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) or the daily charge must be paid.

Minimum emission standards

Petrol: Euro 4
Diesel: Euro 6

The ULEZ will be enforced based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age. However:

All our vehicles are subject to an Admin Fee. Our Admin Fee covers any additional administration needed during your transaction, including a thorough provenance check (HPI Check). The admin fee also includes the cost to fully valet, register and, if necessary, MOT your vehicle (if less than 6 months left of current MOT).

Our administration fee is a variable fee which covers the additional administration needed when transacting with different categories of customers as specified. Retail Customers £199.00 - (Private buyers - NOT an owner, partner or director of a new/used vehicle sales company). Retail Customers using a finance broker outside our official panel of lenders paying funds direct to Wilsons Epsom - £399.00. All fees are inclusive of VAT.
