New Peugeot Traveller From £28,120 On the Road

An Invitation to Travel

Peugeot have entered the MPV segment with the new Traveller, bringing with it features that are unique or rarely seen in this sector. These include the hands-free sliding door that can be opened or closed with a simple foot action; the 4.60m 'Compact' version and a range or the latest generation safety features.

Unmistakably Peugeot, the Traveller takes design cues from the passenger car range. The flush-mounted headlights with the bodywork are akin to the Peugeot 308 Hatchback and 308 SW, while the LED light signature integrated with chrome-plated boomerangs draws similarities with the Peugeot 508 grand touring saloon car.

Available in three defined lengths from 4.60m to 5.30m and with a standard height of 1.90m across the range guarantees the Peugeot Traveller's entry into covered carparks. Despite its diminutive appearance at just 4.60m in length, the 'Compact' version can still comfortably accommodate eight passengers. The 'Standard' and 'Long' versions of 4.95m and 5.30m respectively, are at the heart of the market.

Peugeot Traveller Design

Exterior

The Traveller has a powerful presence on the road thanks to its compact overhangs and wheels positioned at the four corners. This position is accentuated by the new vertical grille that has been elevated with the iconic lion brand logo at the centre of a revamped, dynamic three-dimensional grille.

The side panels are structured with sharp lines giving them a sleek appearance. They are further sculpted by concave door sills enhancing the impressiveness of the smooth wheel arches extending out from them.

When parking spaces are tight, it is sometimes impossible to be able to open an MPV's tailgate. The Traveller is built for everyday practicality which is why it features an opening rear window. This makes opening the tailgate a non-problem and also makes loading the boot much easier.

Interior

With hands-free sliding side doors, the Traveller is easy to access for passengers. It also features a step for the front passengers to provide easy access to the elevated driving position that dominates the road and places you in an environment somewhere between a commanding SUV and comfortable saloon.

Sharing journeys with family and friends is nothing but a pleasurable experience in the Peugeot Traveller with child mirror, aviation tables on the back of the front seats and sun blinds in row two as standard.

The Traveller also provides up to 74-litres of open and closed storage space distributed in the passenger compartment. This includes a 5-litre A4 format closed storage box above the instrument panel that could be used to keep your tablet or smartphone safe.

Technology and Innovation

The Peugeot Traveller is the first vehicle to feature the new 7" capacitive touchscreen in addition to the multimedia system, simply touch the screen lightly with your finger or use voice control to simplify your driving. Using voice recognition features means that you don't even have to take your eyes off the road when using the navigation, telephone and media features, making your journey extra safe.

A new generation of connected 3D navigation is ushered in with the release of the new Peugeot Traveller. The new system includes TomTom Traffic real-time traffic information; the location and prices of service stations and car parks; weather information and local points of interest (POI) searches. As well as all the excellent features, you also receive free lifetime updates of the mapping four times a year and the associated Peugeot Connect connected services for three years.

Peugeot Connect Nav integrates the MirrorScreen® function enabling you to use your smartphone apps on the Traveller's 7" touchscreen. MirrorScreen® technology is offered with both Apple CarPlay™ and MirrorLink® to guarantee a wider range of compatible smartphones.

Peugeot Traveller Features

The Multi Purpose Vehicle

The Peugeot Traveller combines modularity and flexibility and can be adapted to any configuration between transporting eight people and luggage to transporting just two people and utilising the rear passenger space to transport objects up to 3.50m long.

Row two has a ⅔ - ⅓ split bench seat, with both sections totally separate, as in row three, or two individual seats with elbow rests.

Thanks to the excellent efficiency of the architecture of the EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2), the Traveller provides up to eight seats comfortably and 1,500 litres of boot space. This volume can be increased up to 4,900 litres when rows two and three are removed.

Modern and Connected Safety

The Traveller has a wide range of the latest generation driving assistance devices. Some of them, such as driving time warning system, driver attention alert, road sign reading and active safety brake are being fitted to a Peugeot vehicle for the first time.

These devices provide warnings to drivers about the length of time they have been driving above 40mph without a break; the speed limit signs that they might have missed and potential collisions that could happen with the vehicle in front of them.

In addition to these features, the Traveller also includes blind spot monitoring alerts, front and rear parking assistance equipment, lane departure warning system and grip control.

Peugeot Traveller Engines

The Traveller's Euro 6 BlueHDi engines are equipped with the most efficient pollution control technology on the market with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SRC) system upstream of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Thanks to this technology, the Peugeot Traveller range boasts an average CO2 emission level of just 140g/km making it the best-in-class in the segment.

The 22.4 litre AdBlue tank that is needed for the SRC system provides a range of 9,500 miles and is easily filled up using the exterior filling flap that is located in the middle pillar which is invisible when the driver's door is closed.
