
Wilsons pledge their support for BEN the Automotive indutry charity.
BEN is the automotive industry charity, the only occupational charity for those who work or have worked in the automotive and related industries. Founded in 1905, the charity provides practical help, financial and emotional support, advice and friendship to almost 15,000 men and women and their families every year. In addition, BEN provides a home to over 350 individuals who reside in one of its four residential centres in theUKand offers day care facilities at its centre inCoventryoffering a full spectrum of care to younger and elderly people
Roughly one in ten people in the UK and Ireland are eligible for help as employees or dependants of employees, both past and present, of the motor, cycle, motorcycle, commercial vehicle, agricultural engineering industries plus all associated trades, organisations and industries.
BEN works in the community extending help to people facing all kinds of problems in their own homes. That might be coping with illness or bereavement or struggling to manage financial problems or meeting the costs of special equipment needed to overcome disabilities, not available from the state.
As well as providing direct help, BEN can work on behalf of people to obtain further assistance or appropriate support from other organisations, including information about benefit entitlement.
