1. EVERYONE IS DOING IT!
Well almost – UK new car sales are up – again. New car registrations showed an increase of 2.0% in April 2016, a date which also marked the 48th consecutive month of rises.* SMMT data.
2. GET YOUR EXACT SPECIFICATION
You can specify the colour, trim and all those lovely features you have always wanted think personalisation. The Fiat 500 for example has over 500 different ways to make it yours, how cool is that? Then there’s the Vauxhall Adam, we know he’s a naughty boy but you can make him just your way with a massive choice of body, roof, mirror and steering wheel colours – that’s just the start. Make him shout just as you like with the two tone horn, keep you warm with his winter pack and even park himself with the amazing park assist. He really is very special.
3. FULL NEW WARRANTY
Be worry free with a manufacturer’s warranty. Many of the faults are repaired for free and the warranties get better all the time as manufacturers compete to improve their offerings. This is great news for new buyers who benefit from these improvements.
4. NO UNKNOWN HISTORY
A new car hasn’t been in any accidents, mistreated, doesn’t smell funny, has no wear or tear, and has only being driven off the production line, onto a transporter, and around to us, the dealer. Clocking, cloning, cut and shut need never be a concern because the only history your new car will have is yours.
5. FUEL EFFICIENCY
Cars are getting more fuel efficient than ever while simultaneously getting more powerful. The newest diesels are cleaner than ever before, and choices in the hybrid and electric segment such as the Nissan Leaf and Renault ZOE are growing, too.
6. PARKING SENSORS
Park quicker and easier and avoid those minor scuffs with the help of the beeping sensors and rear view cameras. The closer you get the louder the beep.
7. DISTANCE CONTROL
Ensure you are always a safe distance from the car in front. The #Peugeot 3008 for example can help keep a safe gap between you and the car in front measured in seconds. Get too close and the head-up display pops up a warning triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle of it.
A lot of new cars come with Bluetooth built in. This means you can synchronise your mobile phone, iPod, iPad or MP3 player to your car and play your favourite music or make and receive calls hands free and safely.
We all want trouble free and easy motoring. Put your tools away because so many manufacturers offer free servicing included when you buy new. Take Nissan for example, on their new Qashqai they include 3 years, yes 3 years free servicing included in the price your pay!
10. BREAKDOWN COVER
A lot of cars come with free Roadside Assistance. So if you find yourself in a sticky corner with a flat tyre you will be fine. Look at Renault’s excellent 4+ package for example, it includes 4 years Roadside Assistance and is a vehicle-based membership, so it covers anyone driving your #Renault in the UK with your permission. Very handy indeed.
11. NO MOTs
The Ministry of Transport only require cars to have a valid M.O.T. certificate once they are 3 years old from date of registration. That means no inconvenient trips to the garage for it to be tested and no worry about any potential repairs. Yay!
12. SHOWING IT OFF
Have you ever got something new and just wanted to tell everyone? Just think when you go home and park a brand spanking new car on the driveway and just look at all your envious neighbours’ curtains twitching. Permission for bragging rights are granted.
Many new cars often come with great special offers such as interest-free finance loans or discounts. See our latest deals here.
14. LATEST TECHNOLOGY
The newer the car, the more modern and the geeky technology it’s packed inside. For example multimedia and navigation interfaces are constantly evolving and improving and parking sensors, stability control and distance control all make your journey a safer one.
15. THAT NEW CAR SMELL
We all love that new car smell.
