RENAULT KADJAR: COMING SOON
Renault has announced that it will soon be releasing a new crossover, the Kadjar. The new model is bigger than the Captur, and will compete in the same segment as the Nissan Qashqai. From 26th January 2015, Renault says that it will be ‘particularly active’ on social media to present the world with the Kadjar. New photos and videos will be posted daily before the wraps come off completely on 2nd February. #KADJAR is the name of the teaser campaign that will enable customers to discover the Renault Kadjar via social media. The name Kadjar is built around KAD- and -JAR. KAD- is inspired by ‘quad’ – representing a go-anywhere four-wheeled vehicle and -JAR recalls the French words ‘agile’ and ‘jaillir’ representing agility and suddenly emerging from somewhere. Renault believes that the ‘sound and spelling of the name have an exotic feel which suggests adventure and discovering new horizons.’ The initial letter ‘K’ is also said to indicate the car’s robustness. The Kadjar will take Renault into a segment pioneered by its Alliance partner Nissan, for the first time.
VAUXHALL VIVA: COMING 2015
Introducing the Vauxhall Viva! Our all-new, five-door, entry-level model will be joining the fashionable A-sector ADAM and the popular Corsa super-mini as the latest addition to our small car range in summer 2015.
Offered at an extremely attractive price, the Viva will have a five-door body style with either four or five seats. It’ll be highly specified and come in a range of trims and equipment levels.
And if the name sounds familiar, it’s because the Viva pays homage to Vauxhall’s original Viva, available from 1963 to 1979. Over 1.5 million were manufactured at Vauxhall’s plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Designed for modern, everyday life, the all-new model will share the original’s clean lines, durability and practicality.
