Supporting Advances in Education and Technology

Wilsons are proud to support Blenheim High School with their thriving Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) program. With our support that are building a race car to enter into the Greenpower IET Formula 24 series in 2016/17. The program aims to advance education in the subjects of sustainable engineering and technology to young people.

Students have been invited to apply for a range of positions on the Race Team including engineer, driver and journalist. However, the aim of the project is to involve all Blenheim students, as well as the local community and not just the Race Team itself. The students will design and build their race car after school ready to race in the 2016/17 series which will involve two heats, one in Dunsfold and one in Goodwood. If the team are successful in these heats then they will progress into the final.

Wilsons sponsorship involves financial support of the Race Team including purchasing the car kit and we will also be contributing our time and technical expertise to the project. Tracey Fantham, Headteacher at Blenheim School said "we are delighted to be working with Wilsons on such an exciting project."

Look out for ongoing updates in the coming months.
